Black TV Ratings for Week of December 3 - 9
ABC's 'Scandal' sees boost in viewers, while other Top 25 shows decline
 (December
10, 2012) The No.1 show for the first week of December, "Sunday Night
Football," had a 20% decrease in Black viewers over the previous week,
setting the tone for a drop experienced by most programs. One notable
exception was ABC's "Scandal," in which star Kerry Washington (pictured)
had a 14% jump in Black audience.
In a rare occurrence, NBC was the most watched network among Black
households. It attracted 10.5 million viewers for seven shows. In second
was CBS with 8.5 million viewers for its eight top shows. Fox took third
place with 8.3 million across six shows.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows in Black homes,
according to Nielsen, was down 10% from the previous week to 33.3
million.
