Ford kicks off partnership with artist Chris Brown to debut SYNC technology

(December 6, 2007) Ford Motor Company's partnership with Jive recording artist Chris Brown has kicked off with the Ford sponsored Up Close & Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour Powered by SYNC.

The partnership between artist and automaker highlights Ford’s on-board SYNC entertainment and communications technology and promotes it to young, tech savvy urban consumers with a integrated campaign.

"The idea of bringing Chris Brown and Ford's SYNC Technology together was a no-brainer for us," said Crystal Greene, Sponsorships & Alliances Marketing Manager for Ford. "We think that SYNC is the hottest in car technology and Chris Brown is one of the hottest on the music scene, so it was an easy blend of the two. The integration of SYNC into this tour is about reaching out to this audience in a way that is natural to them. His fans love technology; they love Chris Brown, so why not capture them in a manner that is appealing to them."

Through the partnership with Ford, Chris Brown will appear in radio spots and television broadcast advertisements, focused on Ford's industry-exclusive technology. The radio ads have already kicked off in select markets and the television ads will premiere in January 2008.

Additionally, Ford has launched an official website, www.syncwithchrisbrown.com  where fans will have a chance to learn more about SYNC, Chris Brown and the tour. Highlights of the site include exclusive interviews with the Chris Brown team and the chance to interact with Chris.  There will also be a national sweepstakes where one lucky fan can win an all-new fully loaded 2008 Ford Focus, customized by Hip Hop Guru of car customization Funkmaster Flex by simply visiting the site and registering to win.
