Cable TV Ratings for Week of Nov. 26 – Dec. 2
‘Monday Night Football’ takes back No.1 spot; BET, USA week’s top nets

(November 30, 2007) The “Monday Night Football” took back the No.1 spot as the most popular cable programming in black households. The match-up between Miami and Pittsburgh attracted 2.1 million black viewers and nudged “I Love NY” from what would have been it’s fourth consecutive top showing. VH1, however, did take second and third place.

BET and USA tied for the week’s top network title by each posting eight shows on the top 25. TBS followed with four, VH1 had three, and ESPN posted two shows. The NFL Network claimed its first appearance on the top 25 cable list thanks to the Cowboys and Packers game.

According to Nielsen Media Research, the total number of black viewers watching the top 25 shows during the last week of November was 29.2 million. That’s two percent decline from the previous week.
