Ratings for Week of Nov. 26 – Dec. 2
ABC’s ‘Dancing’ finale takes the week’s top two spot; CBS holds on as top
network
(December
6, 2007) There’s nothing like the finale of a talent competition to bring
America together as viewers. Literally nothing, since football rarely
seems to able to make the No.1 spot as the most popular show with both
black and white audiences on any more.
Both of ABC’s final shows of “Dancing with the Stars” captured the
attention of more than two million black households, to give it the top
two spots on the week’s top 25. After that, audiences went their separate
ways. The NFL took the third, fourth and fifth positions [In white homes
it was “Shrek,” “Housewives” and “The Grinch” respectively].
The network winner for the week was, again, CBS, which placed nine shows
on the top 25. ABC followed with seven, while the CW had four, Fox with
three and NBC notched two.
The total number of black viewers watching the top 25 shows during the
final week of November was 41.1 million, which was an increase of four
percent over the previous week.
