Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of November 12 - 18
Cable viewing in Black households takes a big hit before Thanksgiving
holiday
(November 27, 2012) In the same week that network TV viewership among
Blacks went up by a lot, cable watching in Black homes went down by a
lot. Only six shows on the Top 25 had a million or more Black viewers,
and only two out of six sportscasts exceeded a million.
VH1 was the most watched cable network of the second week of November,
with six million watching four of its shows. ESPN claimed 4.7 million
across four shows for second place. USA network had just 2.6 million for
three shows.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 cable shows, according to
Nielsen, was down 18 percent from the previous week to 25.8 million.
