Black TV Ratings for Week of November 12 - 18
Black viewers favored a 'normal' week of TV between the election and
Thanksgiving
(November 26, 2012) In the week following the election and before the
Thanksgiving holiday, Black TV viewers settled into their usual favorite
shows. This boded well for popular dramas like ABC's "Scandal" and CBS's
"Person of Interest." It also meant a willing Black audience for
specials like the Grammy salute to Whitney Houston and the American
Music Awards. And as, usual, football topped the list of must see TV.
CBS took back the mantle of most watched network in a week of casual
viewing, with 12 shows on the chart that pulled in 14.9 million viewers.
NBC was second with 9.1 million watching five of its shows. ABC again
was third with 6.6 million viewers across five programs.
Nielsen data claimed 35.4 million viewers watched the Top 25 most
popular shows. That's a 12 percent increase over the previous week.
