Top 25 cable viewing before holiday week holds steady with favorites
(November 25, 2011) Even before the Thanksgiving holiday week produces the usual boost in viewing for the Disney Channel, the most popular network with youngsters showed a growth in popularity. There were few surprises or shifts in black viewers' cable habits otherwise, with half of the chart's shows again drawing less than one million viewers.
Disney was the most viewed cable network in the third week of November. it had 5.3 million viewers for its six most popular shows. VH1 followed in second with 5.3 million for just three of its programs. Bravo was a surprise third place with 3.6 million, also for three shows.
Nielsen recorded 27.6 million viewers as the total number watching all of the Top 25 cable shows. That's two percent more than the previous week.
