SalonSENSE marks tenth year with new site for beauty industry professionals

(November 24, 2007) Hush Media Group, publisher of SalonSENSE magazine, recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of the beauty industry trade publication by recalling its first decade and making aggressive plans for the future.

“We are proud of the indelible mark that SalonSENSE has made both on the industry and in the lives of ‘image makers,’” says Winston . “As we celebrate this important landmark, we want to recognize the men and women who work in partnership with SalonSENSE to achieve excellence and raise standards in every aspect of our industry.”

With the magazine’s launch in September 1997, Winston embarked on a new business venture that changed her life and the beauty industry. The magazine delivered news and information that brought business savvy, new techniques and vision to stylists, colorists, barbers, nail technicians, estheticians, makeup artists, spa professionals, fashion stylists and others.

The trade publication quickly became an industry handbook to 42,000 African-American and Hispanic subscribing industry professionals. Since its launch, HMG has enhanced the publication by providing readers with improved and expanded business content to help “image makers” become financially sound business owners. The company also hosts professional development seminars as Business Boot Camp, Barber Boot Camp and Color Camp.
