Top 25 shows some shifting in popularity of black viewers' favorite shows
(November 17, 2011) The second week of November saw some shifting in traditional TV viewing habits among black households. As usual football remained at the top of the chart, but with some slight slippage from last week's match-up between bigger city teams. Among the season's new shows, CBS's "Unforgettable" is doing the best job of holding the interest of black viewers. It finished in the top 10 on the Top 25 chart.
CBS remained the most watched network among the Top 25 with 11.7 million catching nine of its shows. Fox claimed second with 8.9 million viewing five of its programs. NBC ran a close third with 8.5 million watching four of its shows.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows in black households was down five percent from last week to 39.3 million, according to Nielsen data.
