Once again football dominates, ABC's newest shows make the Top 25
(November 9, 2011) In what would have been the start of the professional basketball season, football continued to hold sway over the higher positions of TV's Top 25 chart for the first week of November. NBC nudged CBS out of No.1 with the "Sunday Night Football" match-up between the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Black viewers also took a look at the season's newest entries and put ABC's "Revenge" and "Body of Proof" on the chart for the first time.
Even without the week's No.1 show, CBS was the most watched TV network, claiming 16.1 million viewers for its shows on the Top 25. NBC took second place with 9.8 million for four programs. Fox was third with 9.4 million over five shows.
There wasn't much lost in audience among black households. Nielsen saw the total watching the Top 25 was 41.8 millon, or just three percent less than the previous week.
