Boost Mobile and Motorola create career forum for VIBE Game Club Tour

(November 9, 2005) Boost Mobile and Motorola have joined forces to present the innovative "Game Behind the Game" forum during the VIBE Game Club Tour at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) this fall.

"Game Behind the Game" is designed to give students an opportunity to hear about the business of video games and entertainment first-hand from some of the industry's leading talents. By encouraging dialogue between the students and alumni in the industry, Boost Mobile and Motorola are providing the tools to help boost young people to the next level in life.

The nine-week program, hosted by radio personality and HBCU alumni Steph Lova, features some of the industry's brightest stars sharing real-life experiences and secrets of success with aspiring HBCU students. Speakers such as Christopher Sainsbury of Bad Boy Entertainment, EA Sports Web Developer Mike Johnson, ESPN The Magazine Deputy Editor Kenny McAlister, and Daniel Cherry of the Widen + Kennedy ad agency represent a diverse mix of industry insiders. They will discuss the wide range of opportunities within video game and entertainment-related career fields.

"The 'Game Behind the Game' forum offers students at historically black colleges and universities a chance to get a head start on determining their career paths," said Daryl Butler, senior manager of events and sponsorship. "This outstanding group of panelists is a direct reflection of the students themselves, which helps further their vision of what it takes to succeed."

Boost Mobile, a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel Corp., is a lifestyle-based telecommunications brand offering pay-as-you-go wireless services to 1.7 million customers.
