TV Ratings for Week of Oct. 29 – Nov. 4
Football returns to the top of black viewers favorites; CBS again is network winner

(November 6, 2007) NBC should be thrilled that black households preferred the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles to celebrity dancers. The NFL match-up was the No.1 show with African-Americans, who represented 16 percent of the 16.4 million total viewers. The game was No.8 in white households.

CBS was the week’s winning network in black homes, with “60 Minutes” heading up a list of 12 programs on the top 25 chart. ABC was second with five programs, followed by the CW and Fox with three each, and NBC with two.

The total number of black households watching the top 25 programs, according to Nielsen Media Research, was again 30.6 million.
