Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of October 24-30
Disney dominates cable's Top 25 for black viewers with big weekend lineup
(November 4, 2011) Back-to-back blocks of programming continue to work for Disney in its effort to attract younger viewers in households. With little competition from other TV or cable networks, Friday and Saturday nights remain a gold mine.
While its overall viewing numbers are down, Disney still gathered 6.7 million for seven shows to be the week's most watched cable network in black homes. VH1 took second place with 4.4 million for four of its programs. USA claimed 3.3 million for four shows (half of which were WWE) for third place.
With 24.8 million total viewers for the Op 25 cable shows, according to Nielsen, the total number of viewers were virtually the same as the previous week.
