Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of October 22 - 28
Final Presidential debate in close race to be the most watched cable programming

(October 31, 2012) President Barack Obama's win in the final Presidential debate set the stage for the possible dethroning of Monday Night Football as the perennial No.1 cable show of the week. It was close, but not close enough. Debate night coverage was the overall programming winner for the last week of October and it attracted 10.1 million Black viewers.

The most cable network among the Top 25 was MSNBC with 4.2 million tuning in their debate-related programming. VH1 was second with 3.6 million across three shows. CNN took third place with three million for two programs.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 most popular cable shows in Black households, according to Nielsen, was 25.1 million, or 2.9% less than the previous week.
