Black Cable TV Ratings for Week  October 20 - 27
VH1 claims a ratings winner with original movie 'Crazy Sexy Cool' in No.1 spot

(October 30, 2013) VH1's biopic on the biggest female group in recording history delivered some historic numbers to the cable channel as well. "Crazy, Sexy, Cool - The TLC Story" premiered with 4.5 million viewers, of which 3.7 million were in black households. The show also set a record with 1.9 million Tweets blasted out during the program. The movie's popularity easily bounced "Monday Night Football" from the top spot and gave VH1 top cable network status for the week.

VH1 had 7.3 million viewers across four time slots to win the most watched network title among the Top 25. BET was a distant second with 4.7 million for five shows. USA scored just 2.8 million with three shows for third place.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 cable shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was down 11 percent to 27.8 million.
