Black TV Ratings for Week of October 19 - 25
'Empire' continues to attract eight million-plus black viewers as No.1 TV show

(October 28, 2015) Since its season debut last month, Fox's hit drama "Empire" continues to be the No.1 TV show in black households, besting former champ, NBC's "Sunday Night Football" with an audience that's more than double its rival. Newcomer "Rosewood" has established itself by again placing fifth on the Top 25 chart.

The most watched network title easily went to Fox with 16.7 million across five shows. But NBC and CBS fought to a virtual tie for second place. CBS claimed a total of 12.1 million for nine of its shows, while NBC reached the same total with with seven shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows in black homes, according to Nielsen, was up 5.5 percent over the previous week to 49.2 million.
