UPN's three-way tie with itself for top show of the week
(October
12, 2005) In the battle for first place among the top ten most popular
shows with black households, UPN ends up in a three-way tie with itself.
“Girlfriends” managed to best rival “Everybody Hates Chris,” though both
had ratings of 16.0, as did “Half And Half.” UPN claimed six winners on
the list for the first week of October.CBS held on to its Thursday night block of black viewers with “CSI’ and “Without A Trace.” Football maintained its popularity, although Fox and ABC both attracted less than two million homes to their games. The overall audience watching the top ten shows was 19.3 million homes, an increase of 2.3 percent over the previous week.
