Black Cable TV Ratings for Week  September 23 - 29
VH1 takes back most watched title, but overall cable viewing has big drop for the week

(October 8, 2013) Cable viewing during the last week of September remained tentative as more households gave the new network TV lineups their attention. Overall audiences for the most popular cable shows -- except for football -- saw a drop in total viewers. The biggest surprise was three WWE programs increasing their African-American share and making it into the top 10 on the chart.

The most watched cable network among the Top 25 shows was VH1 with 4.9 million for four shows. OWN had 3.4 million across four of its programs for second place. ESPN finished third with 2.6 million for two of its shows.

The total number of viewers for the most popular cable shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was down 16 percent to 22.8 million.
