Black TV Ratings for Week of Sept. 19-25
X-Factor joins football as a regular among the most popular TV shows in black homes

(September 27, 2011) Fox's "X-Factor," designed as a mirror-image knock-off of "American Idol," is proving to be as consistent a ratings winner as its progenitor. The twice-a-week talent competition attracted two million-plus black viewers for each broadcast.

"X-Factor" led the way for Fox's position as the most watched TV network of the week, with 15.2 million black viewers for five of its chart-making shows.  The No.2 TV network for the week was CBS, which had 14.2 million viewers for 10 of its shows. ABC took third place with 9.46 million across six programs.

Total viewership for the Top 25 shows in black households increased 19 percent to 46.6  million, according to Nielsen data.
