Black TV Ratings for Week of September 17 - 23
NBC cuts into CBS' dominance as most popular TV network in black homes

(September 26, 2012) Despite the grumbling about the calls by replacement officials, the NFL is still drawing record TV audiences. Black viewers seem no less enthusiastic than anyone else, with prime time games still topping the list of the week's most popular shows.

With football as its anchor, NBC is cutting into CBS' popularity with its new programs, "Go On" and "Revolution." NBC was the week's most watched TV network in Black households, claiming 13.2 million viewers across nine shows. CBS was a distant second with 8.4 million for eight programs. Fox was third picking up five million for four shows.

The total number of Black viewers, according to Nielsen, for the Top 25 was 30 million, or five percent more than the previous week.
