Black Cable TV Ratings for Week  September 9 - 15
NFL, VH1 are week's cable network winners; OWN scores with third Tyler Perry entry 

(September 19, 2013) VH1 edged past the Disney channel to the right to have the second largest audience for a single cable show -- behind NFL football. Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse had its OWN debut, and turned in winning numbers for the network. Perry's show posted the highest scoring Wednesday night for OWN in its short history.

VH1 was the most watched network among those making the Top 25. It had 6.4 million viewers for five of its shows. Disney followed 5.9 million across seven shows, while USA posted three million for three WWE wrestling programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 cable shows in black households, according to Nielsen was down 4.2 percent to 27.1 million.
