Burrell makes multiple appointments in agency’s media department (Sept. 19, 2005) Linda Jefferson, Senior Vice President and Group Media Director for the Chicago-based Burrell ad agency has announcement a series of promotions in the media department. Ken Wolff has been promoted to Group Media Supervisor. For the past year, Ken has been a senior member of the agency’s Procter & Gamble communications planning team. Prior to that position, he was the Media Supervisor on the McDonald's account. Brian Morrison, has been promoted to Media Supervisor from Senior Media Planner. Brian joined Burrell in the fall of 2004 to specifically work on the P&G business. Roger (Corey) Richardson has been promoted from Sr. Media Planner to Media Supervisor on the Toyota business. He will also maintain responsibility for Nestle CoffeeMate account. Denitria (D. NyRee) Lewis is moving up from Assistant Media Planner to Media Planner. She will continue to work on the Toyota account and also Lexus. LaTasha Kenley has been promoted to Broadcast Investment Supervisor for national and local broadcast buys for Toyota. 11th Annual Edition Available 'Buying Power' report reveals surge by black households for consumer electronics Despite
tighter economic times, African-American households are significantly
increasing their expenditures on consumer electronics for the home,
according to the newest edition of The Buying Power of Black America
report. In many categories such as video games, televisions, CD players,
cable TV service and sound equipment, black households are spending more
on average than their white counterparts. According to the 103-page report, black households had $656 billion in earned income in 2003, an increase of 3.9% over the $631 earned in 2002.
