Black Cable TV Ratings for Week  September 2 - 8
BET again has the No.1 cable show, while TV One makes the Top 25 for the first time

(September 11, 2013) In their battle against network television, cable networks have just lost one of their biggest advantages: summertime. Labor Day signaled the return to routines for black households, but the first week of September did produce some surprises, however. TV One made its debut on the Top 25 chart with R&B Divas, and the OWN network held its No.2  position for the third consecutive week with The Haves and The Have Nots.

BET was the most watched cable network among the Top 25 shows, 8.2 million tuning in five of its programs. The OWN network was the second most viewed network with 6.3 million across six shows. VH1 was narrowly edged out to claim a rare third place among networks with 6.2 million viewers for five shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 most watched shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was up 2.6 from the previous week to 28.4 million.
