Ratings for Week of Sept. 3 - 9
NBC and NFL run 1-2-3 route on top shows of the week; CBS is the network
winner (September
11, 2007) The fall season is just around the corner, and that can only
mean one thing. Are you ready for some football? In black households, the
answer was clearly yes as the season’s opening week contest on NBC
attracted two million homes. In fact, gridiron programs took the first
five spots on the top 25 most popular shows, and seven of the top 10.
The run away winning network for the first week of September was CBS,
which posted nine shows on the top 25 list – none of them game-related.
NBC and Fox tied for second with seven shows each. ABC and the CW both
posted one each.
The total number of black households watching the top 25 shows of the
week, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 24.7 million.
