Black TV Ratings for Week of Aug. 26 - Sept. 1
CBS shows dominates the Top 25 with black viewers for the last week of summer

(September 4, 2013) In the last week before the nation's black households get back to their routines, CBS' programming dominated the Top 25 chart of most viewed shows. Most telling about the network's popularity this season is the success it had with sci-fi thriller, Under The Dome. The show equaled in number the audience for ABC's Saturday Night Football.

With 9.5 million watching 12 of its shows, CBS easily wrapped up the summer as the most watched network during the final week of summer. Following in a distant second was ABC's 3.2 million viewers across five shows. Fox in third place had a paltry 1.4 million and just two shows.

The total number of viewers for the top 25 shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was up 4.2 percent to 19.5 million.
