Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of August 19 - 26
'Love and Hip Hop' and other cable favorites attract 10 million more than TV's Top 25

(August 28, 2012) Week Three of August was a repeat of Week Two as far as cable viewing goes, and that means 10 million more viewers for cable's Top 25 than TV's favorites. The No.1, 2 and 3 cable favorites in Black households stayed the same, with VH1's "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" in the top spot.

Disney doubled its appeal with young viewers over the previous week with a Friday night block that pulled 8.7 million across eight shows. VH1 was the No.2 network with the No.1 cable shows and 6.9 million viewers for three of its  programs. BET was third with four million for three shows.

Nielsen data recorded 30.5 million viewers for the Top 25 cable TV shows in Black homes, which was 10 percent more than the previous week.
