Black TV Ratings for Week of August 12 - 18
Fox pre-season football pushes CBS' Under The Dome back to No.2 on Top 25

(August 21, 2013) When it comes to counting black viewers of summer TV, pre-season NFL football is not quite as dominant as one might assumed it would be. The Colts and the Giants barely beat the overall audience for CBS' Under The Dome, and both were the only programming to draw at least one million black viewers.

CBS did dominate the Top 25 chart with 9.9 million watching 14 of its programs. Fox took a distant second place with 3.9 million across four shows, while ABC settled for 2.4 million for four shows.

The Top 25 favorite shows in black households had a total of 18.3 viewers, according to Nielsen, which is 11 percent more than the previous week.
