Week of August 13 – 19
CBS takes the week’s top two spots and the title of winning network (August
21, 2007) Scripted dramas out-ranked fourth and goal this past week, as
CBS captured first and second place on the top 25 shows in black
households. “Without A Trace” and “CSI: NY” were the only offerings to
pull in at least a million households, beating out football. “So You Think
You Can Dance” took third.
CBS also won the network race by placing eight shows on the top 25. Fox
followed with six, ABC and the CW both had four, and NBC claimed three.
The total number of black households watching the top 25 programs,
according to Nielsen Media Research, was 20.6 million. That’s almost a
five percent drop over the previous week’s total.
