Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of August 6 - 12
Disney captures young viewers, but top of the cable chart stays with VH1, BET

(August 20, 2012) The Top 25 cable programs in Black households during the second week of August remained the same as the previous week. VH1 took first and second, while BET hold on to the No.3 spot. The Disney Channel kept an even tighter lock on young viewers with back-to-back blocks of their favorites.

The most watched cable network in black households was Disney, which had 9.6 million (nearly last week’s total) across 11 shows. VH1 claimed 6.9 million for four shows, and TBS was third with 4.5 million also with four shows on the chart.

According to Nielsen data, 28.6 million watched the Top 25 cable shows of the week, which was eight percent more than the previous week.
