Olympics attract a record 46.6 million Black viewers for telecasts of games
(August 16, 2012) From the opening ceremony to the final spectacle of the 30th Olympiad, Black viewers were a significant part of NBC's ratings success. Overall, 46.6 million Black viewers tuned in all the Olympic broadcasts over the past two weeks.
NBC attracted 19.6 million for its eight Olympic programs. The second most watched network was CBS with 4.5 million across eight shows. ABC claimed 3.1 million for five shows.
