Walton Isaacson advertising agency named Supplier of the Year for fifth time

(August 10, 2015) For an unprecedented fifth time in six years, Walton Isaacson (WI), an independently held, minority owned, full-service advertising and marketing agency, has been named Supplier of the Year by the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council.

The Supplier of The Year program was introduced by the National Minority Supplier Development Council in 1981 as a valid method to measure the success of circulating corporate dollars into the minority business community. It's considered the most prestigious award majority corporations can bestow upon their Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) partners.

"It's a great honor for our agency to receive this award and we're extremely proud of being able to give back to the community and help other MBEs to grow and prosper," said Walton Isaacson co-founder and partner Aaron Walton (pictured). "Congratulations to our entire Lexus team and much appreciation for their tireless efforts to bring innovation, passion and commitment to everything they do to support the Lexus brand, and to represent the agency in a way that we can all stand proud."

The agency was nominated by Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc., which oversees domestic sales, marketing and distribution of the Lexus brand.  WI is agency of record for Lexus adverting and marketing to the brand's Black, Hispanic and LGBT consumer segments and also works with a diverse supplier base of MBEs on behalf of the client.

"We are lucky and proud to have Walton Isaacson as a supplier partner," said Brian Smith, Vice President, Marketing, Lexus.  "Winning Supplier of the Year for the fifth time in six years clearly establishes Walton Isaacson as a business leader and a powerful force within the creative community. The competition was formidable, and being nominated alone was quite an achievement as only 3% of nearly 1,500 SCMSDC-certified MBEs attained that goal. Well done, team WI, and we all look forward to many more years of this award winning partnership."

Noted Virginia Gomez, CEO and president, Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council "Walton-Isaacson embodies the best of what MBEs offer -- creativity, innovation and client solutions.  Walton Isaacson's contribution to the economic development of our community in creating jobs and the agency's pay-forward philosophy inspires us all."

Correction: The Southern California Minority Business Development Council should have been referred to as Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council. The correction is reflected in the story above.
