Johnson Publishing promotes Kevin McFall to SVP of Strategy and Business Development
 
(August 10, 2015) Johnson Publishing Company has announced the promotion of Kevin McFall to Senior Vice President of Strategy and  Business Development, with the responsibility of overseeing print, digital, broadcast, and technology partnership initiatives for the Ebony and Jet brands. McFall will also be responsible for licensing, partnerships, digital strategy, audience development, and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.

"In this position, I will serve as a conduit for evaluating and executing partnerships with other media companies, technology companies and content developers that will collaborate with us to amplify the stories of African-Americans using new and emerging technologies," said McFall.
 
McFall joined the Johnson Publishing family in January 2013 as Vice President where he led marketing, digital strategy and licensing. Prior to joining JPC, McFall's experience includes impacting e-commerce and social media strategy development for Sears Holdings; senior product leadership for NewME, a multicultural focused technology startup accelerator; and management as interim CEO for a division of the IPO'ed Professional Diversity Network (NSDQ: IPDN).
 
McFall has also led global business and product development for Cision, a leading PR and social media software company. Prior to that Kevin co-founded, RushmoreDrive.com an innovative search engine division of IAC, and prior to that was the technology leader and head of product for Zap2it.com, the entertainment program guidance brand for Tribune (now Gracenote). Additionally, he has led successful business and technology initiatives for the American Bar Association, Sara Lee Corporation & Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP).
 
Kevin holds an MBA from the Sperling School of Business at the University of Phoenix and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Mathematics, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
