The 14th Power of Urban Radio Forum to be held in Washington Oct. 2nd

(August 7, 2014) Kizart Media Partners will host its 14th Power of Urban Radio Forum in partnership with the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB) on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Westin City Center in Washington, DC. The 2014 forum brings together leading CEOs and global marketers including those from Wells Fargo, TracFone, Miller Coors, Ford Motor Company, Toyota USA, and AARP.

"We bring together national leading advertisers, media agencies and broadcast executives for an event that has been called best in class," said  Kizart.

Sherman Wright, Managing Partner and Founder of Commonground, will deliver the keynote address. Commonground has delivered cutting edge marketing for its clients including Verizon, Coca-Cola, American Family Insurance and Miller Coors.

Erica Farber, President/CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau will deliver a special address on the State of the Radio Industry. Immediately following Ms. Farber's speech will be an in-depth discussion with leaders from Radio One, Emmis Communications, Perry Broadcasting, and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler will also deliver a special address.

Presentations that give insight into the $100 billion in media buying decisions affected by the Urban Radio Market include Global Media Agency executives from MediaVest, Horizon Media, Optimedia, Omnicom Media Group, Campbell Ewald and The Company of Others. The National Marketers Award will be presented to Edna Kane-Williams, Vice President/African American Marketing, AARP and James Colon, Vice President/African American Strategy, Toyota USA.

Co-chairmen for the forum are Alan Leinwand, Vice President & Market Manager for Radio One, Jim Watkins, General Manager for WHUR and Steve Swenson, Senior Vice President & Market Manager for CBS Radio. This must-attend forum will be held during the 39th Annual Fall Broadcast Management Conference of NABOB.
