Lagrant Communications names Minerva Finkley
to creative director post
(August
1, 2006) Lagrant Communications has announced that Minerva Finkley has
been appointed the agency's creative director. In her new position,
Minerva will lead the creative development, management and creation of
innovative solutions for the firm’s clients including Nissan, Verizon,
California Lottery, Southern California Edison, Office of National Drug
Control and Policy (ONDCP), among others.
“Minerva has
the right mix of creativity and leadership the firm needs to stay fresh in
the marketplace,” stated Kim L. Hunter, Lagrant Communications
president/CEO. “She is a skilled writer and creative strategist. I
anticipate excellent campaigns from her that will exceed client
expectations and produce amazing results.”
Before assuming
her position as creative director, Minerva’s 12 plus years in copywriting
served her well as Lagrant’s Chief Copywriter for its USC and California
Lottery accounts, where she developed the creative copy for USC’s online
messaging for the Marshall School of Business Executive MBA Program. For
California Lottery, Minerva led concept development efforts for the
Lottery’s key products, identified critical brand messages and established
the creative direction the firm will take in its advertising campaign for
the account.
Prior to joining LC, Minerva worked as senior copywriter for nine years
for UniWorld Group, Inc., where she created radio commercials and
advertisements for AT&T, Coors Brewing Company, Kodak, Lincoln-Mercury and
Reebok. Minerva has extensive experience handling diverse accounts having
provided service to the Ad Council, Bank of America, Ford Motor Company,
Microsoft and Palmolive. She specializes in developing new business
campaigns, writing television commercials, video production and direct
mail; and was responsible for writing broadcast commercials and print
advertisements for the U.S. Army and Wells Fargo Bank, while at Muse
Communications.
Minerva has a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the American Film
Institute and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from Hunter
College.
Lagrant Communications, established in 1990, is an award-winning
full-service integrated marketing communications firm specializing in the

'Buying Power' report shows black consumers spending more on home life
As the American economy continues to move sluggishly,
African-American households are curtailing their spending in many
categories, including food, clothing and basic household items, while
investing more in home repair, home entertainment and consumer
electronics. Although they are trimming back, black consumers are still
spending more than their white counterparts on most of these products.
