Black TV Ratings for Week of July 22 - 28
Black TV homes stay under the spell of 'Under The Dome' as summer viewing drops

(July 30, 2013) Though it has almost no people of color in its story line, CBS' "Under The Dome" sci-thriller continues to draw black viewers under its spell. It was again No.1 on the Top 25 chart, and the only TV network show to have at least one million viewers in the fourth week of July. Black viewers make up 10 percent of the show's total audience.

CBS' hold on the most watched Top 25 network title was earned with a paltry 5.8 million viewers across six shows. NBC managed to grab second place with 4.5 million viewers for six shows. ABC claimed just 3.9 million watchers for six programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 TV shows in black households was 17.9 million, according to Nielsen, just one percent lower than the previous week.
