The Week
of July 16 – 22
‘House of Payne’ and Disney repeat their performance of previous week
(July
25, 2007) It was déjà vu all over again for the top 25 most poplar shows
among black households. TBS’ “House of Payne” continued to dominate the
top of the chart and again was the only program to attracted more than a
million black cable watchers. However, adults made their presence known
mostly among the top five shows. Younger viewers pushed their favorites to
even bigger gains.
Disney was again the top network, with more than half of the top 25 shows
airing on the channel. BET followed, again with four shows. TBS posted
three.
The total number of black households watching the top 25 during the third
week of July, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 16.5 million.
That’s basically a repeat of the previous week’s 16.2 million.
