Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of June 25 - July 1

Awards easily take No.1 cable show, VH1 remains week's top cable network
(July
3, 2012) The BET Awards repeated the success it had in the ratings last
year, with all but about one million of the its 7.4 million viewership
coming from black households. While special obviously attracted young
black viewers, Disney still had a lock on this segment of the audience.
the Disney channel was the most watched cable network during the last
week of June, claiming 9.4 million viewers across 10 shows. BET was
second with 8.1 million for three shows on the chart, followed by VH1
which had 6.2 million for three of its shows.
TV loss was cable's gain as total viewership of the Top 25 cable shows
increase 16 percent to 32.4 million, according to Nielsen.
