Black TV Ratings for Week of June 27 - July 3
Summer TV viewing in black homes continues to fall - unless it's the talent shows

(June 29, 2011) Like most TV watchers, black viewers seem less interested in watching re-runs and are only tuning for the talent competition shows like "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent." Only six shows on the Top 25 TV shows had at least a million viewers, and cable's Top 25 total viewers have jumped to being equal with television's.

NBC pulled ahead of CBS as the most watched network of the week, thanks to the popularity of "The Voice." It had 8.4 million viewers for eight shows. CBS was second with 7.8 million for 10 of its top shows. ABC was a distant third, claiming four million for five shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows, according to Nielsen, was 22.4 million, or 3.2 percent less than the previous week.
