Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of June 18 - 24
VH1 wins the week's trifecta on the Top 25 cable favorites in black households (June 28, 2012) Thanks to three-hour prime time back-to-back block of "Love and Hip Hop" and "Single Ladies", VH1 captured the No.1, 2 and 3 spots on the Top 25 cable shows. Its often vilified "reality" shows each attracted about a million-and-a-half viewers or more during the third week of June. Thanks to the younger viewers in black households, Disney won the "most watched network" title, carrying 11.1 million viewers across 10 of its shows. VH1 was a distant second with 4.7 million for just three entries on the chart. TBS pulled in three million for three "House of Payne" episodes. There was just a two percent increase in the week's Top 25 audience, according to Nielsen, for a total of 27.8 million viewers.
