Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of June 11 - 17
NBA moves to ABC for The Finals and Top 25 cable viewership drops 33 percent

(June 20, 2012) After posting record-setting viewership numbers for the 2012 NBA Playoffs, ESPN fell off of the radar of black households and sent the Top 25 chart of favorite cable shows back to non-basketball levels. With the summer season officially on, the youngsters have taken over the remote controls to tune in their favorites shows.

Disney was the most watched cable network during the second week of June, posting 13.9 million viewers for 13 of its shows on the chart. VH1 had 4.7 million across three programs, followed by USA's 3.3 million for four shows.

The total number viewers watching the Top 25 favorite cable shows in Black households was down 33 percent from the previous week to 27.2 million.
