Anderson Communications marks 23rd anniversary of 'Focus on Women'

15, 2012) Anderson Communications announced today that it has appointed
award winning national recording artist, Kathleen Bertrand as the new
host of its syndicated radio, Focus On Women. The program, which is
celebrating its 23rd anniversary, covers a broad range of issues
important to Black women including; career opportunities, successful
child rearing, family, self-realization, male-female relationships,
personal finance, health & fitness and many other issues that are
important to women.In making the announcement, Al Anderson, chairman and founder of Anderson Communications, said, "Kathleen is a phenomenal person and is the ideal person to host the program. She has accomplished so much in her life and in multiple careers, achieving excellence in everything she is doing. She brings a unique perspective to this program based upon her successes and I know that women all across the country will benefit from her perspectives and insights." Bertrand serves as senior vice-president of The Atlanta Convention Bureau and is a respected senior corporate executive with over 27 years of experience. Additionally, she is a mother of four adult children, has recorded several jazz albums and has performed for audiences around the country as a headline act and with Roy Ayres and others. "I am thrilled to have a chance to be the host of Focus On Women.," said Bertrand. "I plan to continue and expand the legacy of Focus On Women and I am excited about making a contribution to the important mission of this, the first daily program ever created and produced by an outstanding team of women." Focus On Women is heard Monday through Friday on radio stations across the country. In addition, the Focus On Women cross media platform is a fully integrated marketing program with multiple components including; an interactive website focusonwomenonline.com, print segments, local events, retailer partnership marketing programs, consumer promotions and public/community relations components.
