The Week of May 21 – 27
NBA Playoffs draw men back to cable to give TNT top spots and network win

(June 1, 2007) It’s game on for the NBA playoffs, and the win or go home atmosphere attracted male viewers in black households back to the remote control. TNT was week’s dominant player, with basketball taking the top three spots on the top 25 chart and nine positions overall.

TNT was easily the week’s top network with seven entries. Second was BET with four, followed by VH1 which posted three shows.

The total number of black households watching the top 25 shows during the fourth week of May, according to Nielsen data, was 15.9 million. That’s a ten percent drop from the previous week’s total.
