Black TV Ratings for Week of May 14 - 20
'Scandal' hangs on to No.1 spot with black viewers and is renewed by ABC

(May 23, 2012) African-American TV viewers delivered another winning week for the ABC network, with the hit show "Scandal" repeating its No.1 ranking in the Nielsen ratings. ABC announced that the political drama has been renewed for a second season.

ABC was the most watched network in black households, with 11.6 million watching nine of its Top 25 shows. CBS was second with 10.3 million also across nine shows. Fox took third for the week with 5.3 million over four shows.

Nielsen data showed 30.4 million viewers for the Top 25, just a three percent increase over the previous week.
