Veteran marketer Mike Jackson and R&R Partners form Jackson & Partners LLC

(May 23, 2011) Advertising and marketing veteran Mike Jackson and award winning branding and marketing agency R&R Partners of Las Vegas have joined forces to create Jackson & Partners, a joint venture aimed at transforming the way automotive retailers speak to and engage consumers.

The partnership includes the creation of a retail automotive marketing group focused on executing demand-building plans for dealers with multiple franchises. Mike Jackson will lead the company while R&R Partners will provide marketing insight, media buying and production support.

"Jackson & Partners is going to change the way car dealers attract and retain customers," said Mike Jackson, CEO of Jackson & Partners. "Current owners and consumers in market today expect a more authentic and emotional approach in regards to messaging and images.  We know that opportunities exist for innovative dealers to break through the clutter and leverage 'untapped equity' with their local community."

Jackson & Partners has assembled a world-class team of automotive marketing experts. Industry veterans, Gary Topowelski, Randy Easterbrook, and Dana Locatell are part of the leadership team.

"We have created processes and tools that assist dealers in evaluating the specific needs of their respective marketplace," said Jackson. "Our goals are to develop marketing solutions aimed to more effectively, efficiently and affordably increase sales. As a part of the process, the Jackson and Partners team works directly with dealer principals and their employees to develop branding and communications programs that best fit the client's needs. Jackson and Partners will afford dealers a single source for all of their advertising, marketing, and media needs.

"The restructuring of the auto industry, changes in buyer behavior and the evolution of the media landscape have altered how people search, select, and purchase cars," said Gary Topowelski. "Our goal is to assist dealers of all sizes in adapting to these changes while successfully growing customer retention, sales, and profits."

"The automotive retailer space is a vastly undervalued market," said Mary Ann Mele, chief strategic officer of R&R Partners. "With Mike's experience and understanding within the automotive space, his team's unparalleled authority and R&R's ability to deliver top quality, award winning work and results, there is no question the joint venture will help revolutionize automotive retail marketing."

Mike Jackson is co-founder of Jackson & Partners LLC, a retail automotive marketing group. Prior to starting his own firm, Jackson was most recently senior vice president of global sales, marketing and distribution for CODA Automotive, Santa Monica, Calif. Jackson was also CEO of Speedshape, a leader in the digital imaging business, after spending more than seven years with General Motors, most notably as North America vice president of marketing and advertising from March 2006 to June 2007.

His responsibilities included directing the marketing, advertising and media efforts for the eight GM vehicle divisions. During his tenure, he led significant changes in the way GM marketed its eight domestic brands. Jackson and his team restructured the relationship between GM and its advertising and media agencies, and shifted millions of dollars of ad resources from traditional media to digital. His team led some of the most successful new-product launches in company history, which included the Chevy Silverado, Cadillac Escalade, GMC Acadia and the GM 100K Warranty.

Prior to that role, Jackson was the regional general manager of GM's Western region. Mike and his team accomplished the task of being the only domestic manufacturer to grow sales and share over a four-year period. Prior to his tenure at GM, Mike spent more than 20 years in sales and marketing leadership roles with Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Coors Brewing Company.

Headquartered in Las Vegas with five satellite offices, R&R's philosophy is "We're all-in and it's personal" which offers a strategic blend of advertising, public relations, issues advocacy, government affairs, research, media and digital marketing. R&R has won numerous industry awards and was the first agency to win Brandweek's "Grand Marketer of the Year" Award for their work on Las Vegas' "What happens here, stays here" campaign.

Founded in 2010, Jackson & Partners is a joint venture with the award winning agency R&R Partners, to help address both strategic and production needs for Jackson & Partners retail automotive clients.  For more information please visit www.jacksonandpartners.com.
