New Black consumer research data and trends to be presented at MAAX Summit

(May 19, 2012) The 13th Annual Marketing to African-Americans with Excellence (MAAX) Summit will meet in Chicago on July 2nd - 3rd. Presentations and panel discussion will offer a comprehensive look at the changes, trends and new opportunities in the $1 trillion Black consumer market.

The MAAX Summit, presented by Target Market News, brings together some 200 marketing, advertising, media, public relations and research professionals each year to hear and discuss research findings and developments in the African-American market. This will be the first public unveiling of many of these studies, and all of them are exclusively focused on Black consumers.
"With the American economy in recovery, now is a critical time to get a new understanding of how this market impacts all industries," said Ken Smikle, president of Target Market News. "Marketers are looking to the African-American consumer market for new business opportunities, especially in the digital media space. This Summit will be focused on presenting insights to expand those opportunities."
