Black TV Ratings for Week of May 9 - 15
ABC sweeps top spots among TV networks in week without the NBA playoffs

(May 18, 2011) Now that the NBA is down to cablecasts of the Eastern and Western Conference Finals, TV favorites get their black households viewers back. ABC carried the top three spots and threatened to take the most watched network title again -- but it fell short.

CBS regained the No.1 TV network in black homes with 13.3 million watching 11 of its Top 25 shows. ABC was a respectable second with 11.2 million for eight programs. NBC took a distant third with 4.3 million for four shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows among black households, according to Nielsen, was down eight percent to 32.1 million.
