Black TV Ratings for Week of May 4 - 10
'Scandal,' NBA push ABC to fourth consecutive week as No.1 network in black homes

(May 16, 2015) ABC was able to hold on to its popularity with black TV viewers, thanks to the march towards the season finale of "Scandal" and the suspense of the NBA Playoffs. Both programs headed the chart of Top 25 shows for the first week of May.

ABC was the most watched network with 11.7 million viewers for its nine shows on the Top 25. CBS followed with 8.9 million viewers across nine of its chartmakers, while NBC claimed only 4.9 million viewers for its five shows.

The total number of black viewers of the Top 25 shows, according to Nielsen, was down just three percent from the previous week to  27.5 million.
