Black TV Ratings for Week of
May 7 - 13
'Scandal' finally gives ABC the
No.1 show and week's most watched network title
(May
15, 2012) After weeks of bumping up against CBS' dominance in black
households, ABC has taken the No.1 show and the week's most watched
network title, thanks to its new hit drama, "Scandal." ABC was aided by
CBS' "The Good Wife" being on hiatus last week, and the finale of
"Desperate Housewives."
ABC attracted 12.4 million to ten of its shows on the Top 25, while CBS
had 10.5 million viewers, also for ten programs. NBC was third with just
3.2 million for three shows on the chart.
The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 most popular shows in
black homes, according to Nielsen, was 29.5 million, or five percent
more than the previous week's total.
