Black TV Ratings for Week of April 29 - May 5
'Scandal' is No.1 for second consecutive week, but CBS still most watched network

(May 9, 2013) As the ABC hit drama Scandal heads towards its season finale, Black audience numbers are heating up. The show matched its 2.7 million viewers from the third week of April and landed firmly in No.1 against American Idol. Overall, however, the number of shows on the Top 25 with at least one million Black viewers dropped from  17 to 12.

CBS was the most watched network in Black households, with 11.8 million watching across 12 shows on the Top 25. ABC was a close second with 10.9 million for nine shows. Fox took third with just 3.5 million and two shows.

The total number of viewers fort he Top 25 shows viewed in Black households, according to Nielsen, was 28.7 million, six percent less than the previous week.
