Black TV Ratings for Week of April 30 - May 6
ABC's 'Scandal'
hits No.1 for first time, but CBS still most watched network
(May
8, 2012) The new ABC political drama, "Scandal" took the No.1 spot for
the first on the Top 25 list of favorite shows in black households. The
boost to ABC's lineup, however, was not enough to overtake the
popularity of CBS.
After sharing the title two weeks ago, CBS was the most watched network
in black households during the first week of May. It pulled 12.3 million
viewers for 12 of its shows. ABC was second with 10.7 million across
nine programs. Fox had just 2.9 million for two of its shows on the
chart.
Nielsen data scored a total of 28 million viewers for the Top 25, a drop
of just three percent over the previous week.
